project woman | springfield ohio

It has been a long term goal and I am finally making it happen in 2018. The goal? Make a donation to a charity in the name of every couple that books a wedding with me. The charity I’ve chosen? Project Woman.Β  Project Woman has helped me, my friend, and many others and I know they have so much to offer this community.

Some of you may not be aware of this, but I am a domestic abuse survivor. To be real, I’m always unsure of how to phrase that. I don’t want to say I’m a victim and in a way I hate to label myself as a survivor. I guess what I’ve come to understand is that those aren’t labels that define me, but rather just a title of a chapter in the book of me. Does that make sense?

(This is me in 2012 below.)

Let’s say it does and go with it. πŸ˜‰

Another chapter title I believe God wanted me to have is advocate and giving to this charity is just one way that I can be an advocate. It is a way to spread the word about this organization and help those in need.

Helping women and children of domestic violence is a weighs heavy on my heart and I want to thank each couple that books their wedding with me. It is you that is helping these women and children. It is because of you that they are receiving help whether emotional or legal or even financial. Thank you.
