Happy Pi Day, boo! I know in general there are two camps when it comes to dessert. There are the Pie People and the Cake Crew. Now, of course, not everyone fits in to just one of those two camps, and I’m sure there are even a few crazy 😉 people who don’t fall into either one. I fall in the middle. I will eat pie and I will eat cake. Both simply depend on the flavor, but I can appreciate either when served as dessert. Or breakfast, lunch, snack, or dinner. Basically, anytime is a good pie or cake time, am I right? Especially if the pie is peach. Just sayin’.
And what is awesome is that couples have embraced their love for pie and made it a wedding pie instead a wedding cake kind of party. Who doesn’t love when a couple makes their wedding celebration a true reflection of them?!?! It’s forking awesome!!!
At a wedding in Lebanon, Ohio, the couple opted for pies from an Ohio based bakery called O Pie O. Y’all, I had never heard of this place and now I feel the need to go check them out in person. They’re located in Cincinnati and they have specialty pies. I mean, where else would you find a honey vinegar pie?!!?
I wasn’t adventurous enough the night of the wedding to try that particular pie, but man I wish I would have! Everyone that had a slice said it was incredible. It’s the pie that the bride and groom cut in to and shared together…..it was a pie cutting instead of a cake cutting. 🙂
I had the dark chocolate and it was so good with coffee! I really wanted to grab an extra piece to take home, but I made myself stick to just the one. High five to myself for sticking to my diet plan.
Did you remember to celebrate Pi Day with a slice? What is your go to pie flavor?
ps who else watches The Good Place? Love that show!
