Friday Favorite | Tulips

Hey friends!  I know it is late in the evening to be getting this FIRST Friday Favorite to you, but I have to tell you that coming up with the first one seemed daunting!  I kept thinking it over and over and had all these different ideas, but none of them have felt worthy of being the first!  I decided it would be best to keep it simple.  You’ll have to let me know if that was a good decision.  And I have now finally narrowed it down.

My favorite for this week is tulips.

I love pink tulips.  White tulips.  Those deep purple tulips.  Sometimes red and yellow tulips.  instagramtulips

There is something so elegant and classic about a tulip.  It’s simplicity.

Want to know something funny about me and my fav?  I don’t have any in my garden!!!  Not one!

I know I am going to sound completely neurotic for my reasoning too, but here it goes.

I don’t want tulips in my garden because they don’t last long and it makes me too sad to see them die.

I know.  I know.  Trust me.  I get that it sounds a bit crazy.  I do!  I love seeing other people’s tulips!  I just can’t for myself.

They are signs of Spring!  They are gorgeous!  They offer hope that Winter will be over and Spring is here.  I see that as a symbol of life.  They are the light at the end of the tunnel or the rainbow after the storm.  Tulips give me hope.studio3
